حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ وَابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ قَالَ قُتِلَ أَبِي يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ فَقَالَ

النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «احْفِرُوا وَأَوْسِعُوا وَأَحْسِنُوا وَادْفِنُوا الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالثَّلَاثَةَ فِي قَبْرٍ وَاحِدٍ وَقَدِّمُوا أَكْثَرَهُمْ قُرْآنًا» وَكَانَ أَبِي ثَالِثَ ثَلَاثَةٍ وَكَانَ أَكْثَرَهُمْ قُرْآنًا فَقُدِّمَ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said: "Dig graves, make them wide, make them good, and bury two or three in a single grave, and put forward the one who knows the most Qur'an." My father was the third of three, and he was the one who knew the most Qur'an, so he was put forward.
