✧ Who is called Hashim, Hashim b. Utbah b. Abi Waqqas, who was killed along with Ali on the Day of Siffin.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحُلْوَانِيُّ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ سِنَانِ بْنِ هَارُونَ ثنا أَشْعَثُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ

«صَلَّى عَلِيٌّ يَوْمَ صِفِّينَ عَلَى عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ وَهَاشِمِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ وَكَانَ عَمَّارُ أَقْرَبَهُمَا إِلَى عَلِيٍّ وَكَانَ هَاشِمُ أَقْرَبَهُمَا إِلَى الْقِبْلَةِ»

✧ Ali prayed on the Day of Siffin over Ammar b. Yasir and Hashim b. Utbah. Ammar was the nearer of the two to Ali, and Hashim was the nearer of the two to the qiblah.
