حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيُّ ثنا طَلْحَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ أَبِي رَاشِدٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ وَابِصَةَ بْنَ مَعْبَدٍ يَقُولُ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَتَّى سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْوَسَخِ الَّذِي يَكُونُ فِي الْأَظْفَارِ فَقَالَ «دَعْ مَا يَرِيبُكَ إِلَى مَا لَا يَرِيبُكَ»

✧ I heard Wabisa b. Ma'bad say: I asked the Messenger of God ﷺ about everything, even about the dirt that is under the fingernails, and he said: “Leave what causes you doubt for what does not cause you doubt.”
