حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا أَبِي قَالَا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي خَالِدٍ الْوَالِبِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ

«بَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي سَرِيَّةٍ فَهَزَمْنَا فَاتَّبَعَ سَعْدٌ رَاكِبًا مِنْهُمْ فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيْهِ فَرَأَى سَاقَهُ خَارِجَةً مِنَ الْغَرْزِ فَرَمَاهُ بِسَهْمٍ فَرَأَيْتُ الدَّمَ يَسِيلُ كَأَنَّهُ شِرَاكٌ فَأَنَاخَ»

✧ “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent us on a military expedition, and we routed them. Sa'd pursued a rider among them. He turned to him and saw his leg protruding from the stirrup, so he shot him with an arrow. I saw the blood flowing as if it were a shoelace, and he dismounted.”
