حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْأَشْقَرِ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي خُصَيْلَةُ بِنْتُ وَاثِلَةَ قَالَتْ

سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ {قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّى وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّى} إِلْقَاءُ الْقَمْحِ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الْمُصَلَّى

Translation

Chain of narrators

  4. Khuṣaylah b. Wāthilah from my father

✧ I heard my father say: 'Indeed he succeeds who purifies himself and mentions the name of his Lord and prays'—the throwing of wheat on the day of Fitr before the prayer in the prayer place.
