✧ From Abu al-Darda’, Wathilah b. al-Asqa’, Abu Umamah, and Anas b. Malik, they said: We were in a gathering with some Jews, discussing predestination, when the Messenger of God ﷺ came out to us angry. He frowned, rebuked, and scowled, then said, “Stop! Fear God, O community of Muhammad. Two deep valleys, dark and bottomless, the blaze of the Fire will not overwhelm you.” Then he ordered the Jews to get up. Then he stood and spread out his right hand and spread out his left fingers, then said, “In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. This is a book from God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, with the names of the people of Paradise and the names of their fathers, mothers, and clans. Your Lord has finished. Your Lord has finished. Your Lord has finished. I have warned and I have conveyed. O God, I have indeed conveyed.”
