حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ السَّمَيْدَعِ الْأَنْطَاكِيُّ قَالَا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصُّورِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ وإِدْرِيسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ قَالَا ثنا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَارِجَةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ قَالَ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ قَالُوا ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْمَكِّيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ النَّصْرِيِّ عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الْمُسْلِمُ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ حَرَامٌ دَمُهُ وَعِرْضُهُ وَمَالُهُ الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ لَا يَظْلِمُهُ وَلَا يَخْذُلُهُ وَالتَّقْوَى هَهُنَا وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى الْقَلْبِ وَبِحَسْبِ امْرِئٍ مِنَ الشَّرِّ أَنْ يَحْقِرَ أَخَاهُ الْمُسْلِمَ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “A Muslim’s blood, honor, and wealth are inviolable to another Muslim. A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim; he does not wrong him nor forsake him. Piety is here”—and he pointed with his hand to his heart—“and it is sufficient evil for a man to belittle his Muslim brother.”
