حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ أَنَّ رَبِيعَةَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ وَاثِلَةَ بْنَ الْأَسْقَعِ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّكُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ أَنِّي آخِرُكُمْ مَوْتًا وَأَنِّي أَوَّلُكُمْ ذَهَابًا ثُمَّ تَأْتُونَ مِنْ بَعْدِي أَفْنَادًا يَقْتُلُ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا»

✧ I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say, "You claim that I am the last of you to die and the first of you to depart. Then you will come after me in bands, killing one another."
