حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ قَالَا ثنا سُفْيَانُ ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ الْجَرْمِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ قَالَ

«رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يُحَاذِيَ أُذُنَيْهِ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ وَبَعْدَمَا يَرْفَعُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ وَإِذَا جَلَسَ اضْطَجَعَ رِجْلَهُ الْيُسْرَى وَنَصَبَ الْيُمْنَى وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُسْرَى وَيَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى وَعَقَدَ ثِنْتَيْنِ وَحَلَّقَ حَلْقَةً وَأَشَارَ هَكَذَا بِالسَّبَّابَةِ»

✧ I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he started the prayer: he raised his hands until they were level with his ears; when he wanted to bow and after he raised [his head] from bowing; and when he sat, he laid down his left leg and stood upright his right [leg], placed his left hand on his left thigh and his right hand on his right thigh, closed two fingers, made a circle, and pointed like this with the index finger.
