حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ قَالَ

رَمَقْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ حِينَ كَبَّرَ ثُمَّ حِينَ كَبَّرَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ إِذَا قَالَ «سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ فَافْتَرَشَ رِجْلَهُ الْيُسْرَى ثُمَّ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى رُكْبَتِهِ الْيُسْرَى وَوَضَعَ ذِرَاعَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى ثُمَّ أَشَارَ بِسَبَّابَتِهِ وَوَضَعَ الْإِبْهَامَ عَلَى الْوُسْطَى وَحَلَّقَ بِهَا وَقَبَضَ أَصَابِعَهُ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ وَكَانَتْ يَدَاهُ حَذْوَ أُذُنَيْهِ»

✧ I watched the Prophet ﷺ: he raised his hands in prayer when he said the takbīr; then when he said the takbīr [for bowing] he raised his hands; then when he said, “God hears the one who praises Him,” he raised his hands. Then he sat and spread his left leg, placed his left hand on his left knee, placed his right forearm on his right thigh, then pointed with his index finger, placed his thumb on his middle finger and made a circle with it, and closed his fingers. Then he prostrated, and his hands were level with his ears.
