حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ

«أَنَّهُ صَحِبَ قَوْمًا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَوَجَدَ مِنْهُمْ غَفَلَةً فَقَتَلَهُمْ وَأَخَذَ أَمْوَالَهَمْ فَجَاءَ بِهَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَبَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَقْبَلَهَا»

✧ "That he accompanied a group of polytheists and found them heedless, so he killed them and took their property, then he brought it to the Prophet ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ refused to accept it."
