حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ الْمَازِنِيُّ ثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْيَمَامِيُّ ثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ قَالَ
الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِنِّي ذَكَرْتُ فُلَانَةً أَتُطْلِقُ لِي أَنْ أَرَاهَا؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» فَإِنْ كُنْتُ لَأَحْتَالُهَا فِي أُصُولِ النَّخْلِ لِتَمُرَّ بِي

✧ Al-Mughirah b. Shu'bah said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: "I have thought about a certain woman; will you permit me to see her?" He said: "Yes." And indeed I used to contrive for her among the trunks of the palm trees so that she would pass by me.
