حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَخْرَمُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْأُبُلِّيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَهْضَمٍ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ حُرَيْثٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ
«خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَتَبَرَّزَ فَتَبِعْتُهُ مَعِي إِدَوَاةٌ مِنْ مَاءٍ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ أَخَذْتُ أَصُبُّ عَلَيْهِ» فَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَعَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ رُومِيَّةٌ أَوْ شَامِيَّةٌ فَضَاقَ كُمُّهَا فَأَخْرَجَ يَدَهُ مِنْ أَسْفَلِهَا فَغَسَلَ ذِرَاعَيْهِ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْعِمَامَةِ وَالْخُفَّيْنِ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ went out to relieve himself, and I followed him with a vessel of water. When he finished, I began pouring water for him. He washed his face, and he was wearing a Roman or Syrian jubbah whose sleeve was tight, so he took his hand out from below it, washed his forearms, and wiped over the turban and the leather socks.
