حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حُصَيْنٍ الْقَاضِي ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَأَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ قَالَا ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ قَالُوا ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ عَنْ مَوْلَى الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ
عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ كَتَبَ إِلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَلَّمَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ يَقُولُ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ»

✧ From al-Mughira b. Shuʿba: He wrote to Muʿawiya that the Messenger of God ﷺ, when he concluded the prayer, would say: “There is no god but God alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is over all things capable. O God, none can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, and the fortune of the fortunate avails nothing against You.”
