حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَبِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَا ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ عَنْ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فِي سَفَرٍ فَقَالَ «أَوَ مَعَكَ مَاءٌ؟» فَقُلْتُ نَعَمْ فَنَزَلَ عَنْ رَاحِلَتِهِ فَمَشَى حَتَّى تَوَارَى عَنِّي فِي سَوَّادِ اللَّيْلِ ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَأَفْرَغْتُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ مَاءِ الْإِدَوَاةِ فَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ وَوَجْهَهُ وَعَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ مِنْ صُوفٍ فَلَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ أَنْ يُخْرِجَ ذِرَاعَيْهِ مِنْ ضِيقِهَا حَتَّى أَخْرَجَهُمَا مِنْ أَسْفَلِ الْجُبَّةِ وَغَسَلَ ذِرَاعَيْهِ وَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ ثُمَّ أَهْوَيْتُ لِأَنْزِعَ خُفَّهُ فَقَالَ «دَعْهُمَا فَإِنِّي أَدْخَلْتُهُمَا طَاهِرَتَيْنِ» فَمَسَحَ عَلَيْهِمَا

✧ I was with the Messenger of God ﷺ one night on a journey. He said, "Do you have water with you?" I said, "Yes." He dismounted from his mount and walked until he was hidden from me in the darkness of the night. Then he came, and I poured water on him from the vessel. He washed his hands and face, and he was wearing a woolen jubba. He could not get his forearms out of its tightness until he brought them out from the bottom of the jubba and washed his forearms and wiped his head. Then I reached to remove his khuff, and he said, "Leave them, for I put them on while they were pure," and he wiped over them.
