✧ Mu'ghirah Abu Sufyan b. al-Harith b. Abdul-Muttalib b. Hashim b. Abd Manaf "Converted on the Day of Fath, met the Prophet ﷺ on the way and was one of those who remained steadfast with the Prophet ﷺ on the Day of Hunayn. He passed away in the year twenty.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ الْبَرْقِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ قَالَ
«الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَامِرِ بْنِ مَسْعُودِ بْنِ مُعَتِّبِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَعْدِ بْنِ عَوْفِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ يُكْنَى أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ أُمُّهُ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ بَنِي نَصْرِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَلِيَ الْبَصْرَةَ نَحْوًا مِنْ سَنَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ وَلِيَ الْكُوفَةَ وَمَاتَ بِهَا سَنَةَ خَمْسِينَ أَوَّلُ مَشَاهِدِهِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الْحُدَيْبِيَةُ»

✧ Al-Mughirah b. Shu'bah b. Abi 'Amir b. Mas'ud b. Mu'attib b. Malik b. Ka'b b. 'Amr b. Ma'd b. 'Awf b. Qays b. Munabbih; his kunyah is Abu 'Abd Allah. His mother was a woman from Banu Nasr b. Mu'awiyah. He governed Basra for about two years, then he governed Kufa and died there in the year fifty. The first of his expeditions with the Messenger of God ﷺ was al-Hudaybiyyah.
