حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ أَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ
وَكَانَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ أَحَدُ بَنِي عَبْدِ الدَّارِ بْنِ قُصَيٍّ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ مَا فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ «هُوَ مَكَانَهُ وَأَصْحَابُهُ عَلَى أَثَرِي»

✧ And the first of the emigrants to come to us was Mus'ab b. 'Umayr, one of the Banu 'Abd al-Dar b. Qusayy. I said to him, “What has the Messenger of God ﷺ done?” He said, “He is in his place, and his companions are following in my footsteps.”
