حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ عَنْ مُرَّةَ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ الْبَهْزِيِّ قَالَ
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ أَيُّ اللَّيْلِ أَسْمَعُ؟ قَالَ «جَوْفُ اللَّيْلِ الْآخَرُ ثَمَّ الصَّلَاةُ مَقْبُولَةٌ حَتَّى يَطْلُعَ الْفَجْرُ ثُمَّ لَا صَلَاةَ حَتَّى تَكُونَ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى قَدْرِ رُمْحٍ أَوْ رُمْحَيْنِ ثَمَّ الصَّلَاةُ مَقْبُولَةٌ حَتَّى يَقُومَ الظِّلُّ قِيَامَ الرُّمْحِ ثُمَّ لَا صَلَاةَ حَتَّى تَزُولَ الشَّمْسُ ثَمَّ الصَّلَاةُ مَقْبُولَةٌ حَتَّى تَكُونَ الشَّمْسُ قِيدَ رُمْحٍ أَوْ رُمْحَيْنِ ثُمَّ لَا صَلَاةَ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ»

✧ I said: O Messenger of God, which part of the night is most heard? He said: "The last part of the night. Then prayer is accepted until dawn breaks. Then no prayer until the sun is at the height of a spear or two spears. Then prayer is accepted until the shadow stands as a spear. Then no prayer until the sun declines. Then prayer is accepted until the sun is the length of a spear or two spears. Then no prayer until the sun sets."
