حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْعَطَّارُ ثنا بَدَلُ بْنُ الْمُحَبَّرِ ثنا شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ وَمَنْصُورُ بْنُ الْمُعْتَمِرِ وَقَتَادَةُ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ السِّمْطِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِكَعْبِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ أَوْ مُرَّةَ بْنِ كَعْبٍ السُّلَمِيِّ شَكَّ شُعْبَةُ
حَدِّثْنَا حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لِلَّهِ أَبُوكَ وَاحْذَرْ قَالَ دَعَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى مُضَرَ فَأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ أَعْطَاكَ اللهُ وَاسْتَجَابَ لَكَ ونَصَرَكَ وَإِنَّ قَوْمَكَ قَدْ هَلَكُوا فَادْعُ اللهَ لَهُمْ أَنْ يَسْقِيَهُمْ فَقَالَ «اللهُمَّ اسْقِنَا غَيْثًا مُغِيثًا مَرِيئًا مَرِيعًا سَرِيعًا غَدَقًا طَبَقًا عَاجِلًا غَيْرَ رَائِثٍ نَافِعًا غَيْرَ ضَارٍّ» قَالَ فَمَا أَتَتْ عَلَيْنَا جُمُعَةٌ حَتَّى مُطِرْنَا

✧ "Tell us a hadith you heard from the Messenger of God ﷺ, may your father be for God's sake, and be careful." He said, "The Messenger of God ﷺ supplicated against the Muḍar tribe, so I went to the Messenger of God ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of God, God has granted you and answered you and aided you, and your people have been destroyed. So supplicate to God for them that He sends them rain.' He said, 'O God, give us abundant, wholesome, fertile, swift, plentiful, widespread, immediate, not delayed, beneficial and not harmful rain.'" He said, "It was not even a Friday before we were rained upon."
