حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَالِمَ بْنَ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ السِّمْطِ عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ أَوْ مُرَّةَ بْنِ كَعْبٍ قَالَ
دَعَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى مُضَرَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ أَعْطَاكَ اللهُ وَاسْتَجَابَ لَكَ وَإِنَّ قَوْمَكَ قَدْ هَلَكُوا فَادْعُ لَهُمْ أَنْ يَسْقِيَهُمْ فَقَالَ «اللهُمَّ اسْقِنَا غَيْثًا مُغِيثًا مَرِيئًا سَرِيعًا غَدَقًا طَبَقًا عَاجِلًا غَيْرَ رَائِثٍ نَافِعًا غَيْرَ ضَارٍّ» قَالَ فَمَا كَانَتْ جُمُعَةٌ أَوْ نَحْوُهَا حَتَّى مُطِرْنَا

✧ The Prophet ﷺ supplicated against the Muḍar tribe. I said, "O Messenger of God, God has granted you and answered you, and your people have been destroyed. So supplicate for them that He sends them rain." He said, "O God, give us abundant, wholesome, swift, plentiful, widespread, immediate, not delayed, beneficial and not harmful rain." He said, "It was not even a Friday or so before we were rained upon."
