حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ وَعَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ قَالَا ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ أَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنْ بَيَانَ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ مِرْدَاسٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يَذْهَبُ الصَّالِحُونَ أَسْلَافًا وَيُقْبَضُ الصَّالِحُونَ الْأَوَّلَ فَالْأَوَّلَ حَتَّى تَبْقَى حُثَالَةٌ كَحُثَالَةِ التَّمْرِ وَالشَّعِيرِ لَا يُبَالِي اللهُ بِهِمْ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “The righteous will depart one after another, and the righteous will be taken, the first and then the first, until only worthless people remain, like the dregs of dates and barley. Allah will pay no heed to them.”
