حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ أَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي كَرِيمَةَ
أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَيْلَةُ الضَّيْفِ حَقٌّ عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ وَمَنْ أَصْبَحَ الضَّيْفُ بِفِنَائِهِ فَهُوَ لَهُ حَقٌّ أَوْ دَيْنٌ إِنْ شَاءَ اقْتَضَاهُ وَإِنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَهُ»

✧ He heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "The night of the guest is an obligatory right upon every Muslim. If the guest remains in his courtyard in the morning, then it is a right upon him, or a debt: if he wishes, he may collect it, and if he wishes, he may forgo it."
