حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْبَاعِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُفَيْرٍ ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِمَاسَةَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ صَهْبَانَةَ الْمَهْرِيِّ قَالَ
«كُنْتُ صَاحِبَ الْمِقْدَادِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَكَانَ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَهْرَاءَ فَأَصَابَ فِيهِمْ دَمًا فَهَرَبَ إِلَى كِنْدَةَ فَحَالَفَهُمْ ثُمَّ أَصَابَ فِيهِمْ دَمًا فَهَرَبَ إِلَى مَكَّةَ فَحَالَفَ الْأَسْوَدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ يَغُوثَ»

✧ "I was the companion of al-Miqdad b. al-Aswad in the Jahiliyyah. He was a man from Bahra'. He shed blood among them, so he fled to Kindah and allied with them. Then he shed blood among them, so he fled to Makkah and allied with al-Aswad b. Abd Yaghuth."
