حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ زَبَّانَ بْنِ فَايِدٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «مَنْ كَظَمَ غَيْظًا وَهُوَ يَقْدِرُ عَلَى أَنْ يُنْفِذَهُ دَعَاهُ اللهُ عَلَى رُءُوسِ الْخَلَائِقِ حَتَّى يُخَيَّرَ مِنْ حُورِ الْعَيْنِ أَيَّتُهُنَّ شَاءَ وَمَنْ تَرَكَ أَنْ يَلْبَسَ صَالِحَ الثِّيَابِ وَهُوَ يَقْدِرُ عَلَيْهَا تَوَاضُعًا لِلَّهِ ﷻ دَعَاهُ اللهُ عَلَى رُءُوسِ الْخَلَائِقِ حَتَّى يُخَيِّرَهُ اللهُ فِي حُلَلِ الْإِيمَانِ أَيَّتُهُنَّ شَاءَ»

✧ From the Messenger of God ﷺ, that he said: "Whoever suppresses anger while able to carry it out will be called by God before the heads of all creatures and given the choice of any of the wide-eyed maidens he wishes. And whoever refrains from wearing fine clothes while able to do so out of humility for God ﷻ will be called by God before the heads of all creatures and given the choice of any of the robes of faith he wishes."
