حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ ثنا أَبِي ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ بْنِ بَكَّارٍ قَالَا ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ قَالَا ثنا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ثنا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ سَمِعْتُ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنَ مَعْشَرٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَقُومُ فِي الدُّنْيَا مَقَامَ سُمْعَةٍ وَرِيَاءٍ إِلَّا سَمَّعَ اللهُ بِهِ عَلَى رُءُوسِ الْخَلَائِقِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»

✧ From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said: “There is no servant who stands in this world in a position of reputation-seeking and showing-off except that Allah will make him heard of on the heads of the creation on the Day of Resurrection.”
