حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ ثنا قَتَادَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ الرَّهَاوِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ثَوْرَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «أَتَدْرُونَ مَا يَقُولُ اللهُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَأَوَّلَ مَا يَقُولُونَ؟» قَالُوا اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ يَقُولُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَا أَحْبَبْتُمْ لِقَائِي؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ يَا رَبُّ رَجَوْنَا عَفْوَكَ وَمَغْفِرَتَكَ قَالَ فَقَدْ أَوْجَبْتُ لَكُمْ عَفْوي ومَغْفِرَتِي

✧ From the Messenger of God ﷺ who said: “Do you know what God will say to the believers on the Day of Resurrection, and the first thing they will say?” They said: God and His Messenger know best. He said: “He will say to the believers on the Day of Resurrection: Did you love to meet Me?” They will say: Yes, O Lord, we hoped for Your pardon and Your forgiveness. He said: “Then I have made My pardon and My forgiveness binding for you.”
