حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ ثنا أَبِي ح وَحَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ رَاهَوَيْهِ قَالَا أَنَا بَقِيَّةُ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا خَيْرُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ ثنا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ ثنا بَقِيَّةُ عَنْ بَحِيرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ عَنْ أَبِي بَحْرِيَّةَ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الْغَزْوُ غَزْوَانِ فَأَمَّا مَنْ غَزَا ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ اللهِ وَأَطَاعَ الْإِمَامَ وَأَنْفَقَ الْكَرِيمَةَ وَوَاسى الشَّرِيكَ وَاجْتَنَبَ الْفَسَادَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَإِنَّ نَوْمَهُ وَسَهَرَهُ كُلَّهُ خَيْرٌ وَأَمَّا مَنْ غَزَا فَخْرًا وَرِيَاءً وَسُمْعَةً وَعَصَى الْإِمَامَ وَأَفْسَدَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَرْجِعُ بِالْكَفَافِ

✧ On the authority of the Messenger of God ﷺ, he said: “R aiding is of two kinds. As for one who raids seeking the countenance of God, obeying the imam, spending generously, sharing with his companion, and avoiding corruption in the land, then his sleeping and his waking are entirely good. As for one who raids out of pride, show, and reputation, disobeying the imam, and spreading corruption in the land, he will not return even with his basic needs.”
