حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الدِّمْيَاطِيُّ ثنا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ قَالَا ثنا ضَمْرَةُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ شَوْذَبٍ عَنْ مَطَرٍ الْوَرَّاقِ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ مَعْدِي كَرِبٍ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَخْوَفُ مَا أَخَافُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي ثَلَاثٌ رَجُلٌ قَرَأَ كِتَابَ اللهِ حَتَّى إِذَا رَأَيْتَ عَلَيْهِ بَهْجَةً وَكَانَ عَلَيْهِ رِدَاءُ الْإِسْلَامِ أَعَارَهُ اللهُ إِيَّاهُ اخْتَرَطَ سَيْفَهُ وَضَرَبَ بِهِ جَارَهُ وَرَمَاهُ بِالشِّرْكِ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ الرَّامِي أَحَقُّ بِهَا أَمِ الْمَرْمِيُّ؟ قَالَ الرَّامِي وَرَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللهُ سُلْطَانًا فَقَالَ مَنْ أَطَاعَنِي فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ اللهَ وَمَنْ عَصَانِي فَقَدْ عَصَى اللهَ وَكَذَبَ لَيْسَ لِخَلِيفَةٍ أَنْ يَكُونَ جُنَّةً دُونَ الْخَالِقِ وَرَجُلٌ اسْتَخَفَّتْهُ الْأَحَادِيثُ كُلَّمَا قَطَعَ أُحْدُوثَةً حَدَّثَ بِأَطْوَلَ مَنْهَا إِنْ يُدْرِكِ الدَّجَّالَ يَتْبَعْهُ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "The things I fear most for my community are three: a man who recites the Book of God until you see splendor upon him, and he has been granted the cloak of Islam by God, then he draws his sword and strikes his neighbor with it, accusing him of polytheism." It was said: "O Messenger of God, is the one who accuses more deserving of it or the one accused?" He said: "The one who accuses. And a man to whom God grants authority, so he says: 'Whoever obeys me has obeyed God, and whoever disobeys me has disobeyed God.' He lies. It is not for a caliph to be a shield apart from the Creator. And a man whom stories make light-headed; every time he finishes one tale, he tells a longer one. If he reaches the Dajjal, he will follow him."
