حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِمْصِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصُّورِيُّ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ وَاقِدٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ بْنِ حَلْبَسٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ
يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ عَلِّمْنِي عَمَلًا إِذَا مَا عَمِلْتُهُ دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ؟ قَالَ «لَا تُشْرِكْ بِاللهِ شَيْئًا وَإِنْ حُرِّقْتَ وَأَطِعْ وَالِدَيْكَ وَإِنْ أَخْرَجَاكَ مِنْ مَالِكَ وَلَا تَشْرَبِ الْخَمْرَ فَإِنَّهَا مِفْتَاحُ كُلِّ شَرٍّ لَا تَتْرُكَنَّ الصَّلَاةَ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ تَرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ مُتَعَمِّدًا بَرِئَتْ مِنْهُ ذِمَّةُ اللهِ لَا تُنَازِعِ الْأَمْرَ أَهْلَهُ وَإِنْ رَأَيْتَ أَنَّ لَكَ أَنْفِقْ عَلَى أَهْلِكَ مِنْ طَوْلِكَ وَلَا تَرْفَعِ الْعَصَا عَنْهُمْ أَخِفْهُمْ فِي اللهِ لَا تَغْلُلْ لَا تَفِرَّ مِنَ الزَّحْفِ»

✧ O Messenger of God, teach me a deed which, if I do it, I will enter Paradise? He said: "Do not associate anything with God, even if you are burned; obey your parents, even if they expel you from your property; do not drink wine, for it is the key to every evil; do not ever abandon the prayer deliberately, for whoever abandons the prayer deliberately, God's protection is removed from him; do not dispute authority with its people, even if you think you have a right; spend on your family according to your means, and do not lift the stick from them; make them fear God; do not steal from the spoils; do not flee from battle."
