حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ مُكْرَمٍ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ ثَابِتِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ وَعَنْ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ غَنْمٍ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ يُحَدِّثُ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَهُ حَدِّثْنِي بِعَمَلٍ يُدْخِلُ الْجَنَّةَ إِذَا هُوَ عَمِلَهُ؟ قَالَ «بَخٍ بَخٍ سَأَلْتَ عَنْ عَظِيمٍ وَهُوَ يَسِيرٌ لِمَنْ يَسَّرَهُ اللهُ لَهُ تُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ الْمَكْتُوبَةَ وَتُؤَدِّي الزَّكَاةَ الْمَفْرُوضَةَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُ بِاللهِ شَيْئًا»

✧ A man said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: “Tell me of a deed that will admit me into Paradise if I do it.” He said: “Excellent, excellent! You have asked about something great, yet it is easy for the one for whom Allah makes it easy: you establish the obligatory prayer, you pay the prescribed zakah, and you do not associate anything with Allah.”
