حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أُمِّ بَكْرٍ بِنْتِ الْمِسْوَرِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنِ الْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ أَنَّ حَسَنَ بْنَ حَسَنٍ بَعَثَ إِلَى الْمِسْوَرِ يَخْطُبُ ابْنَةً لَهُ فَقَالَ
قُلْ لَّهُ يُوَافِينِي فِي وَقْتٍ قَدْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلَقِيَهُ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ الْمِسْوَرُ وَقَالَ مَا مِنْ سَبَبٍ وَلَا نَسَبٍ وَلَا صِهْرٍ أَحَبَّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ نَسَبِكُمْ وَصِهْرِكُمْ وَلَكِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «فَاطِمَةُ شُجْنَةٌ مِنِّي يَبْسُطُنِي مَا يَبْسُطُهَا وَيَقْبِضُنِي مَا يَقْبِضُهَا وَإِنَّهُ يُقْطَعُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الْأَنْسَابُ إِلَّا نَسَبِي وَسَبَبِي» وَتَحْتَكَ ابْنَتُهَا وَلَوْ زَوَّجْتُكَ قَبَضَهَا ذَلِكَ فَذَهَبَ عَاذِرًا لَهُ

✧ Tell him to meet me at a time he mentioned. So he met him, and al-Miswar praised Allah and said: 'There is no tie, lineage, or in-law relation dearer to me than your lineage and your in-law relation, but the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Fatimah is a branch of me. What pleases her pleases me, and what distresses her distresses me. On the Day of Resurrection, all lineages will be cut off except my lineage and my tie." And under you is her daughter; if I married her to you, that would distress her.' So he went away excusing him.
