حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ يَزِيدَ السَّامِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ الْغُدَانِيُّ ثنا النَّضْرُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ سَهْلٍ الْفَزَارِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ

سَافَرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ سَفَرًا فَأَتَاهُ قَوْمٌ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ سَهَوْنَا عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فَلَمْ نَصِلِّ حَتَّى طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «تَوَضَّئُوا وَصَلُّوا» ثُمَّ قَالَ «إِنَّ هَذَا لَيْسَ بِالسَّهْوِ إِنَّ هَذَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ إِذَا أَخَذَ أَحَدُكُمْ مَضْجَعَهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَلْيَقُلْ بِسْمِ اللهِ أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ»

✧ We traveled with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey. Some people came to him and said: “O Messenger of Allah, we forgot the prayer and did not pray until the sun rose.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Perform ablution and pray.” Then he said: “This is not forgetfulness; this is from Satan. When one of you lies down at night, let him say: In the name of Allah, I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan.”
