حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ دُحَيْمٍ ثنا أَبِي ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا دُحَيْمٌ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ثنا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ جُنَاحٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ بْنِ حَلْبَسَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ قَالَ

كُنَّا جُلُوسًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ إِذْ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «إِنَّكُمْ تَتَحَدَّثُونَ أَنِّي مِنْ آخِرِكُمْ وَفَاةً وَأَنِّي مِنْ أَوَّلِكُمْ وَفَاةً وَتَتْبَعُونِي أَفْنَادًا» يَعْنِي بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا ثُمَّ نَزَعَ بِهَذِهِ الْآيَةِ فَقَالَ {قُلْ هُوَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَى أَنْ يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًا مِنْ فَوْقِكُمْ أَوْ مِنْ تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ} حَتَّى بَلَغَ {لِكُلِّ نَبَإٍ مُسْتَقَرٌّ وَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ} ثُمَّ قَالَ «لَا تَبْرَحُ عِصَابَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يُقَاتِلُونَ عَلَى الْحَقِّ ظَاهِرِينَ لَا يُبَالُونَ مَنْ خَذَلَهُمْ وَلَا مَنْ خَالَفَهُمْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ أَمْرُ اللهِ عَلَى ذَلِكَ» ثُمَّ نَزَعَ بِهَذِهِ الْآيَةِ {يَا عِيسَى إِنِّي مُتَوَفِّيكَ وَرَافِعُكَ إِلَيَّ وَمُطَهِّرُكَ مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَجَاعِلُ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوكَ فَوْقَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ}

✧ We were sitting in the mosque when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us and said: “You talk about how I am the last of you to die, but I am the first of you to die, and you will follow me in groups,” meaning one after another. Then he recited this verse and said: {Say: He is able to send upon you punishment from above you or from beneath your feet} until he reached {For every report there is a fixed time, and you will come to know}. Then he said: “A band of my community will not cease fighting for the truth, victorious, not caring who abandons them or opposes them, until the command of Allah comes upon that.” Then he recited this verse: {O Jesus, I will take you and raise you to Me and purify you from those who disbelieve, and I will make those who follow you above those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection.}
