حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى السَّاجِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ قَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يَزْدَادُ الْأَمْرُ إِلَّا شِدَّةً وَلَا يَزْدَادُ النَّاسُ إِلَّا شُحًّا وَلَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ إِلَّا عَلَى شِرَارِ النَّاسِ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: “The matter will only increase in severity, the people will only increase in avarice, and the Hour will not come except upon the worst of people.”
