حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ الطَّحَّانُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي مَخْرَمَةُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ وَمَعَهُ كُبَّةٌ مِنْ كُبَبِ النِّسَاءِ فَقَالَ مَا بَالُ الْمُسْلِمَاتِ يَصْنَعْنَ هَذَا إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ زَادَتْ فِي رَأْسِهَا شَعْرًا لَيْسَ مِنْهُ فَإِنَّهُ زُورٌ»

✧ He heard Mu'awiyah on the minbar, and with him was a bundle of women's hair, so he said: 'What is the matter with Muslim women that they do this? I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: “Any woman who adds hair to her head that is not from it, it is falsehood.”'
