حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ ابْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ قَالَ

دَخَلْنَا عَلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ فَنَادَى الْمُنَادِي لِلصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ فَقَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ كَمَا قَالَ فَقَالَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ فَقَالَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ أَيْضًا فَقَالَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ فَقَالَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «هَكَذَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ»

✧ We entered upon Mu'awiyah, and the caller called to prayer. He said, "God is greatest, God is greatest," and Mu'awiyah said just as he said. He said, "I bear witness that there is no god but God," and he said the same again. He said, "I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of God," and he said the same. Then he said, "This is how I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say."
