حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ نَصْرٍ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ التِّرْمِذِيُّ ثنا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ سَبْرَةَ الْجُهَنِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ سَبْرَةَ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ قَالَ قَالَ عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ
سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «جُهَيْنَةُ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُمْ غَضِبُوا لِغَضَبِي وَرَضُوا لِرِضَايَ أَغْضَبُ لِغَضَبِهِمْ وَأَرْضَى لِرِضَاهُمْ فَمَنْ أَغْضَبَهُمْ فَقَدْ أَغْضَبَنِي وَمَنْ أَغْضَبَنِي فَقَدْ أَغْضَبَ اللهَ» فَقَالَ لَهُ مُعَاوِيَةُ إِنَّمَا قَالَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فِي قُرَيْشٍ فَقَالَ عِمْرَانُ أَنَا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَأَنْتَ يَوْمَئِذٍ مَيِّتٌ

✧ I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, “Juhaynah is from me and I am from them. They are angry for my anger and pleased for my pleasure. I become angry for their anger and pleased for their pleasure. Whoever angers them has angered me, and whoever angers me has angered Allah.” Muʿāwiyah said to him, “He only said this hadith about the Quraysh.” ʿImrān said, “I heard it from the Prophet ﷺ, while you were dead at that time.”
