حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا هَوْذَةُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ ثنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنِ أَبِي الْخُوَارِ

أَنَّ نَافِعَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ أَرْسَلَهُ إِلَى السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ يَسْأَلُهُ عَنْ شَيْءٍ رَآهُ مِنْهُ مُعَاوِيَةُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ الْجُمُعَةَ فِي الْمَقْصُورَةِ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قُمْتُ فِي مَقَامِي فَصَلَّيْتُ فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ أَرْسَلَ إِلَيَّ فَقَالَ «لَا تَعُدْ لِمَا فَعَلْتَ إِذَا صَلَّيْتَ الْجُمُعَةَ فَلَا تَصِلْهَا بِصَلَاةٍ حَتَّى تَتَكَلَّمَ أَوْ تَخْرُجَ فَإِنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَرَ بِذَلِكَ» زَادَ هَوْذَةُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ أَلَّا تُوصَلَ بِصَلَاةٍ حَتَّى تَتَكَلَّمَ أَوْ تَخْرُجَ

✧ About something that Muawiyah saw in the prayer, he said: "I prayed with him (Muhammad) the Friday prayer in the enclosure. When he finished, I stood in my place and prayed. When he entered (the enclosure), he sent for me and said, 'Do not repeat what you did when you pray the Friday prayer. Do not connect it with another prayer until you speak or leave. For the Prophet ﷺ commanded that.' Additionally, he added in his narration, 'Do not connect it with another prayer until you speak or leave.'"
