حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ يَعِيشَ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ

لِي مُعَاوِيَةُ «أَرَأَيْتَ مَنْ تَمَتَّعَ وَسَاقَ الْهَدْيَ هَلْ يَمَسُّ مِنْ شَعْرِهِ شَيْئًا؟» فَقُلْتُ لَا قَالَ «فَإِنِّي أَشْهَدُ لَأَخَذْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ شَعْرِهِ عِنْدَ الْمَرْوَةِ حِينَ فَرَغَ مِنْ طَوَافِهِ بِمِشْقَصٍ مِنْ كِنَانَتِهِ»

✧ Muawiyah said to me, "Have you considered one who performs tamattu' and drives the sacrificial animal—does he touch anything of his hair?" I said, "No." He said, "I bear witness that I took from the hair of the Messenger of God ﷺ at al-Marwah when he finished his circumambulation with an arrowhead from his quiver."
