حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا أَبِي ثنا زُهَيْرٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فِي ثَوْبٍ دُونٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَلَكَ مَالٌ؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ قَدْ آتَانِي اللهُ مِنْ كُلِّ الْمَالِ قَالَ «مِنْ أَيِّ الْمَالِ؟» قَالَ آتَانِي اللهُ مِنَ الْخَيْلِ وَالرَّقِيقِ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِذَا آتَاكَ اللهُ مَالًا فَلْيُرَ عَلَيْكَ أَثَرُ نِعْمَتِهِ وَكَرَامَتِهِ»

✧ He came to the Prophet ﷺ wearing a lowly garment. The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Do you have wealth?" He said, "Yes, Allah has granted me every kind of wealth." He said, "From which kind of wealth?" He said, "Allah has granted me horses and slaves." The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "When Allah grants you wealth, let the mark of His favor and His honor be seen on you."
