حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْيَمَانِ النَّبَّالِ عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرِو بْنِ حِمَاسٍ عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ أَبِي أُسَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ خَارِجٌ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ فَاخْتَلَطَ الرِّجَالُ مَعَ النِّسَاءِ فِي الطَّرِيقِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اسْتَأْخِرْنَ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لَكُنَّ أَنْ تَحْقُقْنَ الطَّرِيقَ عَلَيْكُنَّ بِحَافَّاتِ الطَّرِيقِ» وَكَانَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ تَلْصَقُ بِالْجِدَارِ حَتَّى إِنَّ ثَوْبَهَا لَيَتَعَلَّقُ بِالشَّيْءِ مِنَ الْجِدَارِ مِنْ لُصُوقِهَا

✧ He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as he was leaving the mosque, when men and women had mingled on the road, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Step back, for it is not for you to occupy the center of the road. Keep to the edges of the road." And the woman would cling to the wall until her garment would catch on something from the wall due to her clinging.
