حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ حَدَّثَنِي سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ قَالَ

تَنَاوَلْتُ قِدْرًا كَانَتْ لَنَا فَاحْتَرَقَتْ يَدِي فَانْطَلَقَتْ بِي أُمِّي إِلَى رَجُلٍ فِي الْجَبَّانَةِ فَقَالَتْ لَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَقَالَ «لَبَّيْكِ وَسَعْدَيْكِ» ثُمَّ أَدْنَتْنِي مِنْهُ فَجَعَلَ يَنْفُثُ وَيَتَكَلَّمُ بِكَلَامٍ لَا أَدْرِي مَا هُوَ فَسَأَلْتُ أُمِّي بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ مَا كَانَ يَقُولُ فَقَالَتْ كَانَ يَقُولُ «أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ وَاشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لَا شَافِيَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ»

✧ I reached for a cooking pot that we had, and my hand got burned. My mother took me to a man in the cemetery and said to him, "O Messenger of God." He said, "At your service, at your service." Then she brought me close to him, and he began to blow and speak words that I did not understand. Later I asked my mother what he was saying, and she said, "He was saying: 'Remove the affliction, Lord of the people, and heal; You are the Healer, there is no healer but You.'"
