حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ بْنِ شَرِيكٍ ثنا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ مَسْلَمَةَ قَالَ قَالَ

لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ فُرْقَةٌ وَفِتْنَةٌ وَاخْتِلَافٌ فَاضْرِبْ بِسَيْفِكَ عُرْضَ أُحُدٍ وَاجْلِسْ فِي بَيْتِكَ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَكَ يَدٌ خَاطِئَةٌ أَوْ يُعَافِيَكَ اللهُ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said to me: 'There will be division, tribulation, and difference. Strike your sword against the side of Uhud and sit in your house until an erring hand comes to you or God grants you relief.'
