✧ It was presented to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of Khaybar a cooked sheep. He and Bashir bin Al-Bara' bin Ma'rur ate from it, then both of them became seriously ill. Eventually, Bashir died. When he died, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent to the Jewish woman who had presented it and said, "What did you feed us, may Allah curse you?" She replied, "I poisoned you." He asked, "What made you do that?" She said, "I heard you mention that if you were a prophet, it would not harm you, but if you were not, I wanted to relieve people from you." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered her to be crucified.
