✧ The orphan of Rabi'ah b. 'Abd al-'Uzza b. 'Abd Shams b. 'Abd Manaf, known as Abu al-'As, the son-in-law of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and there was a difference in his name, some called him Mihsham and some called him al-Qasim.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ
«أَسْلَمَتْ زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَبْلَ زَوْجِهَا أَبِي الْعَاصِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ بِسَنَةٍ ثُمَّ أَسْلَمَ فَرَدَّهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِنِكَاحٍ جَدِيدٍ»
