حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الرَّمْلِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَوْسِيُّ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ نِسْطَاسَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُبَيْسِ بْنِ مَرْحُومِ الْعَطَّارُ ثنا جَدِّي مَرْحُومُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ نِسْطَاسَ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ عَنْ أبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمًا لِأَصْحَابِهِ «فَمَا تَقُولُونَ فِي رَجُلٍ قُتِلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ؟» قَالُوا الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْجَنَّةُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ» قَالَ «فَمَا تَقُولُونَ فِي رَجُلٍ مَاتَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ؟» قَالُوا اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ «الْجَنَّةُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ» قَالَ فَمَا تَقُولُونَ فِي رَجُلٍ مَاتَ فَقَامَ رَجُلَانِ ذَوَا عَدْلٍ فَقَالَا لَا نَعْلَمُ إِلَّا خَيْرًا؟ قَالُوا اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ «الْجَنَّةُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ» قَالَ فَمَا تَقُولُونَ فِي رَجُلٍ مَاتَ فَقَامَ رَجُلَانِ ذَوَا عَدْلٍ فَقَالَا لَا نَعْلَمُ خَيْرًا؟ فَقَالُوا النَّارَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مُذْنِبٌ وَاللهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said one day to his companions, "What do you say about a man who is killed in the path of Allah?" They said, "Paradise." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Paradise, if Allah wills." He said, "What do you say about a man who dies in the path of Allah?" They said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "Paradise, if Allah wills." He said, "What do you say about a man who dies and two just men stand and say, 'We know nothing but good'?" They said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "Paradise, if Allah wills." He said, "What do you say about a man who dies and two just men stand and say, 'We know no good'?" They said, "The Fire." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A sinner, but Allah is Forgiving, Merciful."
