حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَأَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ قَالَا ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمُؤَدِّبُ ثنا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ قَالُوا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَة قَالَ
خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا سَابِعُ سَبْعَةٍ مِنَّا خَمْسَةٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ فَقَالَ «أَلَا هَلْ تَسْتَمِعُونَ؟» قَالَهَا ثَلَاثًا «إِنَّهُ» سَيَكُونُ بَعْدِي أُمَرَاءُ فَمَنْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَصَدَّقَهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَأَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي وَلَسْتُ مِنْهُ وَأَنَا مِنْهُ بَرِيءٌ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَدْخُلْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَمْ يُصَدِّقْهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَلَمْ يُعِنْهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَهُوَ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُ وَسَيَلْقَانِي فَيَكُونُ مَعِي

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ came out to us while I was the seventh of seven, among us five from Quraysh, and he said: “Will you not listen?” He said it three times. “There will be rulers after me. Whoever enters upon them, confirms their lies, and helps them in their wrongdoing is not of me, and I am not of him, and I am free of him. But whoever does not enter upon them, does not confirm their lies, and does not help them in their wrongdoing, then he is of me and I am of him, and he will meet me and be with me.”
