حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْحَلَبِيُّ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ قَالَا ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُتَيْبَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَة

أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَذَا السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ قَدْ عَرَفْنَاهُ فَكَيْفَ الصَّلَاةُ؟ قَالَ قُولُوا اللهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

✧ The Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Messenger of Allah, we are familiar with this greeting, but how about the prayer?" He said, "Say, 'O Allah, send peace and blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent peace and blessings upon the family of Ibrahim. Surely, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious. And bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed the family of Ibrahim. Surely, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious."
