حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ وَأَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ خِدَاشٍ قَالُوا ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُجَاهِدًا يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ قَالَ

أَتَى عَلِيَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ زَمَنَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَأَنَا أُوقِدُ تَحْتَ بُرْمَةٍ لِي وَالْقَمْلُ يَتَنَاثَرُ عَلِيَّ فَقَالَ «أَيُؤْذِيكَ هَوَامُّ رَأْسِكَ؟» قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ «احْلِقْ وَأَطْعِمْ سِتَّةَ مَسَاكِينٍ ثَلَاثَةَ آصُعٍ أَوْ صُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ أَوِ انْسُكْ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ came to me at the time of al-Hudaybiyyah while I was lighting a fire under a cooking pot of mine, and lice were scattering over me. He said, "Do the vermin of your head trouble you?" I said, "Yes." He said, "Shave, and feed six needy people three sāʿs, or fast three days, or offer a sacrifice."
