حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَا ثنا هُشَيْمُ ثنا أَبُو بِشْرٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ قَالَ

نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ فِي كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَنَحْنُ مُحْرِمُونَ وَقَدْ حَضَرَنَا الْمُشْرِكُونَ وَكَانَتْ لِي وَفْرَةٌ فَجَعَلْتِ الْهَوَامُّ تَسَّاقَطُ عَلَى وَجْهِي فَمَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «أَيُؤْذِيكَ هَوَامُّ رَأْسِكَ؟» قُلْتُ نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ «فَاحْلِقْ» قَالَ فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {فَفِدْيَةٌ مِنْ صِيَامٍ أَوْ صَدَقَةٍ أَوْ نُسُكٍ} قَالَ «فَالصِّيَامُ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَالصَّدَقَةُ سِتَّةُ مَسَاكِينٍ وَالنُّسُكُ شَاةٌ»

✧ This verse was revealed concerning us when we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at al-Hudaybiyyah, while we were in ihram and the polytheists had confronted us. I had thick hair, and lice began falling onto my face. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by and said: "Do the vermin of your head bother you?" I said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "Then shave." Then this verse was revealed: {then a ransom of fasting, or charity, or sacrifice}. He said: "The fasting is three days, the charity is six poor persons, and the sacrifice is a sheep."
